Booking a tour with Heron Now Boat Tours is simple and can be done in three convenient ways:
Online Booking
To book online, visit our Book A Tour page. Once you select your desired tour, you can complete the booking through our online platform. Please note that our booking software, FareHarbor, requires full payment at the time of booking. A nominal 6% convenience fee is charged by the platform and is not collected by us. This fee is directly associated with processing your payment online.
Phone Reservations
If you prefer, you can book by calling us directly at 1-561-320-7011. When booking over the phone, we will take your credit card information to secure the reservation. However, your card will not be charged until the day of your tour. You may also choose to pay in cash on the day of your tour. There is no 6% convenience fee for phone reservations, as we process these bookings internally. Please note that we will get back to you ASAP during regular business hours if we receive a phone message. Please be patient as we may be on a tour.
Onsite Bookings
If you are at Loxahatchee NWR and find Captain Mike or a crew member at the Loxahatchee NWR Lee Rd. boat ramp you can book a tour at that time using a credit card or cash. We do recommend you book online or through the phone as there may not always be a crew member at the boat ramp to take your reservation.
For phone/onsite bookings, the same cancellation policy applies as stated above
Tours will last approximately one hour unless you have booked a private tour. Private tours may last anywhere from 1-3 hours.

Use this address for the correct entrance to Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge. Continue through the entrance to the end of Lee Rd. Park in an an available space and head to the boat tramp.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the tour starts. Tours will start promptly as scheduled.

On our tours, you may encounter a variety of Everglades wildlife, including:
Alligators, a diverse array of bird species, such as herons, egrets, and the stunning Roseate Spoonbill.
Other wildlife like turtles, fish, and sometimes even mammals like the otter, deer, and raccoons that call the Everglades home. Every tour is unique, and Captain Mike will help you spot and identify the species you encounter.
But you must remember nothing is guaranteed as wildlife change their habits depending on the time of day, weather, and season. Some days there will be plenty to see while other days it may be limited.
We offer all types of tours that can be customized to your liking. Whether its and early morning Everglades Excursion or late evening Night Eyes tour. There is something for everyone. Our Sunset Cruise caters to those who are looking to unwind maybe with their favorite beverage. You can choose to listen to some chill tunes or let nature be your soundscape. Or maybe you are into photography or birding. We can cater to any needs you may have. Thank you for choosing Heron Now Boat Tours for your adventure! Please be aware that our tours operate within the Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, which is managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. To gain entrance to the refuge, the USFWS requires a $10 per vehicle entrance fee.
We understand that this additional fee may be an inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding. Your contribution helps support the conservation of this beautiful natural area, ensuring that its unique wildlife and ecosystems are protected for generations to come.
As a private business, Heron Now Boat Tours is not affiliated with the USFWS, but we are proud to work within this remarkable refuge. Thank you for abiding by their policies and for being part of this important effort to preserve the Everglades.
We recommend bringing:
• Sunscreen and a hat for sun protection. Part of the boat is shaded while the other part is open to enable passengers to view to get a full view of the sky for passing birds or the gorgeous sunsets.
• Rain gear. We conduct our tours rain or shine. Rain showers may pop up at any time.
• Sunglasses to reduce glare while viewing the water and wildlife.
• A camera or smartphone to capture the incredible wildlife you’ll see.
• Comfortable clothing suitable for being out on the water. Make sure to check the forecast the day before for temperature appropriate clothing.
• We provide water on board, but feel free to bring your own refreshments and snacks. We encourage you to bring any beverages that you may choose but please be responsible for your actions.
Currently our boat is not wheelchair accessible, but we will do anything in our power to make sure every passenger is comfortable and stress free during our tours. Absolutely! Safety is a top priority at Heron Now Boat Tours. Captain Mike is a highly experienced wildlife biologist, licensed USCG captain, and CPR/First Aid certified, ensuring that all tours are conducted in a secure and respectful manner. Our pontoon boats are stable, comfortable, and equipped with life jackets for all passengers, first aid kits, and all other USCG required safety equipment. We also follow all necessary wildlife viewing guidelines to keep you and the animals safe.
